Mathswithpeps is a site where you can find mathematics tutors who do one on one coaching with learners in person or on line. Tutors use their years of teaching experience to guide their students. The site also permits other teachers to share best practices.

Lead Tutor

Sylvester Peprah is a well experienced teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience. He specialises in the teaching of Mathematics at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-level. Sylvester also has several years of experience as an examiner in the UK, USA and Africa. Sylvester Peprah started teaching maths in Ghana from September 1985 to July 1989. From August 1989 to December 1995, he was an expatriate maths teacher in Ndola, Zambia. 

After finishing his studies for a master’s degree at the University of Port Elizabeth, Mr Peprah taught Mathematics and Statistics at Vista University, Port Elizabeth Campus from February 1997 to July 2002. 

From July 2002 to August 2004 he was again an expatriate High school maths teacher at Baptist Hill High School and a part time lecturer in Statistics at Trident College both in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. 

Sylvester has been in the UK since August 2004 and has been teaching GCSE maths and A-level maths. He is currently a lecturer in maths at Suffolk New College. He tutors students in Key Stage 3 maths, GCSE maths (Foundation & Higher) and A-Level (AS:- Pure Mathematics, Mechanics, Statistics, Further Mathematics 1, Further Mathematics 2; A Level:- Further Pure Mathematics 1, Further Pure Mathematics 2, Further Statistics) 

Sylvester first identifies the issues that make a learner struggles with maths and aims at helping the learner to overcome the issues. Many years of working with students have given Sylvester the ability to identify and assist learners to overcome any difficulties they may have with any area of maths.
